Framed Mirror with Poppies

A decorative mirror using an overlay technique – Poppy group

The choice of colours was requested to match an existing room colour scheme. The mirror is framed by a series of green, white and transparent (‘wispy’ glass) rectangles. For decorative effect, a scalloped edge to the mirror/frame boundary was used. The Poppy group was made separately, (choosing pieces of glass carefully to suggest the variations in colour found in nature) and then soldered in place in the requested position.
