Stained Glass Poppy Firescreen

Poppies
An interpretation of a group of poppies, using the Tiffany style type of construction and incorporating a variety of ‘art glass’ (incorporating the natural variability of this type of glass, made using handmade techniques). This method of construction permitted flowing curves to capture the character of the subject and the choice of glass to offer ‘warmth’ even on a dull day. The subtle textured pale blue transparent glass also offers a suggestion of a sunny sky.
